Sun setting in Kvariati 🏖 Me waiting for food 🍽
Khachapuri on the beach. Told you about the Georgian cheese filled flatbread, right? This one is even more bikini body friendly: shaped like a boat, filled with a lot, believe me A LOT of cheese, an egg yolk and cause that’s not enough grease, some butter, too. It’s quite delicious!
And our stay in Kazbegi is over. It’s a breathtaking and beautiful place with so many hiking opportunities and stunning views. @rooms_hotel_kazbegi is definitely the place to stay. Amazing location, terrace and library and very friendly people. Oh and the breakfast is from another planet 😍🥞🥓
Georgian cheese is a bit different than back home. Quite salty, different texture but very delicious. And it fits perfectly with the wine produced here. 🧀🍷
In ❤️ with Tbilisi and with Georgia! Beautiful landscapes, friendly people, great food, art, innovative ideas and projects. Can only recommend to come here and try all their wines and travel through the country.
No, no, guys, this isn’t just flatbread. This is Khachapuri filled with cheese and it’s warm. So the cheese is melted, you know. And it’s good, very good.
I’m a big fan of Georgian cooking. It’s all fairly simple but with the best and freshest ingredients used and cooked or composed in a way I usually don’t know. This is a simple tomato salad but it was just bursting from pure taste! 🥗🥒🍅 @pheasants_tears
Georgian dumplings aka Khinkali 🥟 F#%@, I’m eating a lot of dumplings lately. These were handmade and stuffed with lamb and the other ones with mushrooms. Simple and delicious!! 5 of them cost 1,5€.
Vino all night and day.🍷🇬🇪 This one is made at @bina37_restaurant with the traditional Qvevri method in a clay pot. I generally prefer the reds but there are some nice whites, too.
Love trying a bit of everything cause then I don’t get food envious. Roasted eggplant, roasted beetroot, both with pomegranate syrup and Georgian homemade yoghurt. Plus, the location of this place is super cool, inside and outside. 🇬🇪🍆
After I woke up from food coma, I figured dinner in Tiblisi at Orshimo is a great idea. Fresh produce from the region, pickles, warm home baked bread and some minced meat rolls. 🇬🇪🇬🇪 Ah, and some red wine, too, but that’s obvious 🍷
Summer on a plate. Sliced apricots, peaches, burrata di bufala, dried rose petals, olive oil, homemade dukkah with pistachios. Love love love. And this pretty Portuguese plate I got at a flea market for 1€ 🌿
Love this recipe inspired by @marthastewart , good thing is you can eat them cold and warm, as a side or as a main. I always have some preserved lemons in the fridge, cause a glass lasts for ages, always have potatoes and red onions. So you boil potatoes first then put them in the oven and 10 minutes before taking them out you add preserved lemon, red onions, pickled peppers, garlic, chili, Kapers, olive oil and salt, mix and let bake for 10 more minutes. Afterwards drizzle with lemon and serve with chopped mint and parsley and maybe some yoghurt. So good, so good!!
Healthy summer food: arugula salad with fried halloumi with za’atar, grilled nectarine in pomegranate molasses, avo, roasted cashew nuts, sea salt flakes, sumach and nigella seeds. There is some mint, too. Fruity and salty salad, some people don’t like such combos, but I promise this one is dope!
