Here’s how to hack time: ... 30 started with a sunrise in New Zealand - and then ended for sunset in Vancouver. It was the longest birthday of my life. Almost two complete days on either end getting well wishes and love. And somehow, I’ve come out feeling goddam YOUNGER. Here’s to always hacking the system and figuring out ways to live life in-between 🤙🏽
And everywhere there is a sunset. . . .
they say abundance is not something you acquire, but something you tune into, and every moment you choose exactly how much of it you have . . . (📸 @mikedmcconnell )
on runs I have: . Been through rainbows. . Followed a pod of dolphins along the shore. . Dipped into glacial lakes...without freezing. The best part? It’s always free. Just like this one: the sun rising over the southern alps.
A friend recently asked me what I would like to feel proud of at the end of my life ? I had a few gins in me already by then so the answer came easily enough: a good story, I said. Seriously? Yes! I said, I’d like to be able to tell a really fucking good story at the end. And this I truly do believe because I have come to see that sharing stories is one of my absolute favorite things about the whole human experience. . So, come gather round the fireside folks. Let’s make this the best fucking tale you’ve ever heard . . . Thank you to @the.watercooler.nz 🙌🏽
Folding, curiously, into a version of self that I have sought . Curious because, how else could you describe leaving yourself behind? . (📸 @mikedmcconnell ) . . .
the frequency illusion supposes that when you are made aware of something, it seems to suddenly appear every where, as if in confirmation of what you seek . some interpret this as a form of divine Manifestation. that what is on the mind becomes your literal reality (because reality is what you create with the mind, after all). . in the age of social media, the frequency illusion starts to spin and spark and combust. it’s on overdrive. on a psychosis trip. . now, we all think we're manifesting things when in reality we're just being targeted. . the facebook algorithm IS the baader-meinhof phenomenon. . and here we are, in the illusion. seeing a reality unfold that we believe to have been created ex animo. .
Stone walls meander up hills and down into oceans; horned sheep run as you cycle past, bullet fast (or so it felt); old farmers spit untranslatable words in dark wood bars; baths include seaweed and salt (and scallops, the roe!); you’ll learn more about a place going at it slow - or not cause your ass is so sore you can’t think about pausing to take it all in while riding through the sunrise on Old Bog road. Was it really haunted or was that just folklore? Either way, it’s still all grand (as the Irish would say) because you’re cycling down the #wildatlanticway . 210km. 4 days. . . . . . . . #ireland #nature #cycle #girladventurin #dreambravely @westirelandcycling
Grateful is having a friend that crosses oceans and cultures and languages and even time. From Panama to Ireland and all the bits in between... Cheers to this Irish sister ☘️💙☘️
